Schillings is pleased to announce that leading reputation lawyer Alex McCready has re-joined the firm as a Partner, taking the Partnership to 30.
Alex advises prominent individuals, high net worth families and family offices on some of their most sensitive and complex matters, where legal, personal and reputational considerations intersect. She also works with companies in the financial services sector to manage reputation risk and navigate issues, keeping heavily scrutinised deals and leadership transitions on track and anticipating areas of challenge.
Alex brings her established reputation and privacy practice to Schillings, re-joining us from a leading law firm where she spent eight years as Head of Reputation & Privacy. Prior to this, Alex practised at Schillings between 2010 and 2018.
Alex is recognised for her practical, discreet and strategic approach. She specialises in reputation and privacy issues across print and broadcast media, as well as non-media threats posed by hostile actors, disgruntled employees and coordinated smear or disinformation campaigns. Alex also supports clients through acute personal and commercial crises, including divorce, family disputes and high profile litigation.
Consistently top-ranked in her field, Alex is recognised by leading directories and publications, including being shortlisted for Spear’s “Lawyer of the Year: Reputation” (2024). She is ranked in the Spear’s 500, Legal 500, Citywealth’s Leader’s List, and has featured in Management Today’s Top 35 Under 35.
