Jenny Afia is an award-winning privacy and reputation lawyer with extensive experience in high-profile litigation.

As a Partner at Schillings, she leads the firm’s global Entertainment practice and is widely recognised for her expertise in complex litigation involving privacy, defamation, and media law.

Jenny represents clients in some of the most challenging legal disputes, delivering successful outcomes in cases that attract worldwide attention. Her litigation work includes defending reputations, managing crisis situations and protecting clients from intrusive media coverage.

Jenny Afia is ranked as a Band 1 lawyer by Chambers & Partners, one of the most prestigious legal directories, and has been selected for the Legal 500 Hall of Fame. She has been featured in Billboard’s Top Music Lawyers for three consecutive years and appears in the “Top Flight” tier of the Spear’s 500 for leading Reputation and Privacy lawyers.

Beyond her litigation practice, Jenny is a leading advocate for children’s online safety. She served on the UK Children’s Commissioner’s Digital Task Force, where she rewrote social media terms and conditions in plain language so children could understand them.

She co-authored the influential 5Rights report “Disrupted Childhood: The Cost of Persuasive Design” and played a key role in shaping the UK’s Age-Appropriate Design Code. Jenny is also a trustee of Common Sense Media UK, a non-profit dedicated to improving children’s digital lives.
