This followed the successful resolution of Mrs Peel’s libel claim in respect of a Guardian article published on 14 June 2019. The terms of settlement include the Guardian agreeing to remove the article from its website, to publish an apology and clarification online (here), to make consequential amendments to two further articles it published and to make a payment of £100,000 towards her legal costs.
