Schillings Complete the Three Peaks Challenge
25 May 2018
Thirteen intrepid explorers from Schillings have successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge, having scaled the UK’s highest mountains – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – in under 24 hours. As a result, Schillings has raised over £14,000 for the children’s charity, CHICKS.
CHICKS provides free respite breaks to disadvantaged children from all over the UK. The children that CHICKS supports might be living in poverty, be young carers, be victims of abuse, or have been bereaved. Each respite holiday they provide, at a cost of £1,000 per child, aims to inspire new confidence and give children the chance to have fun, enjoy new experiences and relax. More than anything, it gives them the chance to just be children.
“I’m incredibly proud” comments Keith Schilling, Chairman & Senior partner at Schillings, and a member of the Three Peaks Challenge team. “Widely regarded as the UK’s toughest hiking challenge, the determination shown by all those involved was both infectious and profound. That we’ve been able to raise such a significant amount of money for CHICKS, thanks to the generosity of our friends and supporters, makes this achievement all the more special. Congratulations to everyone involved and a big thank you to all of our sponsors.”
